Wheelchair Accessible Vans installs hand controls which are designed to allow the driver to manipulate the brake and gas pedals with a lever that is mounted below the steering wheel.
The hand control systems installed by Wheelchair Accessible Vans are user friendly by design. They are easy and safe to operate, and do not hinder driving. The best part is that a standard driver does not have to make an adjustment to drive the vehicle.

The EZLock wheelchair docking system have been helping thousands to experience independence since 1986. It is built with the same goals in mind as the AMS Handicap Conversion: to be safe, simple, and strong. All you have to do is guide your wheelchair into the floor mounted base lock until fully engaged. Be sure to use the standard lap and shoulder belts to secure your upper body but the EZLOCK system takes care of the rest. To exit the vehicle all you have to do is depress the primary release switch and then exit the base.

One of the things that Wheelchair Accessible Vans loves about AMS is the way that they are constantly looking for additional ways to provide those with limited mobility more independence with their handicapped accessible vans. In order to create effortless entry and exit from accessible vehicles, power transfer seats are an option in every van. Power transfer seats offer maximum entry and exit space, and give those individuals who would be unable to get into a seat the ability to do so.
