My new AMS Wheelchair Van has been working just great. Before I purchased the Van, my wife (a stroke victim and wheelchair bound) had been stuck at home for a year or so after she broke her leg in a transfer fall. Since then, I have had to use a Hoyer to get her in bed or in her wheelchair. To take her anywhere I had to pay a service called Metro-Care here in Austin a $100 round trip to go to the doctor or to get her blood tested. My Wife did not get to go anywhere else. Since we got our new AMS Van in December of 07, life has been much better. This is the middle of June and since December, we have been the movies four times, to the Doctor office twice, out of town four times and we have been out to eat almost every weekend. My wife calls going out to eat her weekly outing and looks forward to it very much. We also were able to make her Moms funeral, which was very sad, but we could not have done it at all for it not for our AMS wheelchair Van. And, we did get to see her Mon three times before the end (who lived in Kerrville Texas, 120 miles from Austin), including at Christmas when she was doing much better. One can only say that our AMS Van has been a life saver and worth every penny we paid for it. AMS came through for us in every way. I would like to say that the Van looks very good with its ground effects and Mag wheels. I have no trouble getting my wife in and out of the Van. If I go somewhere without my wife, I just reinstall the removable front seat which goes in and out with no trouble at all. Since I am driving a wheelchair Van as my only personnel vehicle, I decided to max out the sound system and replaced everything. The existing sound system did work OK, but I wanted more sound. This was just for me, but I feel it was worth it because of the investment in My AMS Wheelchair Van.
